I will warn you this is small fish post. But fun anyways.
My day started off at 5.45 down on 5000 at Rock Creek. I headed down stream about 50 yards and I get a very large Creek Chub about 14 inches on a wooly worm I go and snap a photo and NO Camera SO I wanted to just hit this spot I did fairly well on and then head back up streams for my camera and try east of the bridge. I was floating wooly worms size 12 tipped with a red flash and wham fish on and what was it TROUT I was so shocked they were still in here about 12-14 incher and in the same pool I got another one.. Walked down a bit and didnt see any more fish a few smallies cruzin but no takers.
I proceeded to my car to get my camera and headed east. I went past the Kankakee sportsman club had a few words at them while I was in the creek telling me I am trespassing. But here are some shot from today. I also tried a new spot where rock creek breaks up into 2 parts near manento I think. I saw from the bridge big smallies cruzing with baby ones around. I tried to take a photo but didnt come out saw about 15 or so smallies... today was one smalllie and a million CHUB....
Enjoy
This guy was shocked I got him
Here are photos of the new part I explored

Re: Rock Creek..GOT CHUB???
I went up that far a long time ago and pretty much completely forgot what it looked like.
As for trespassing, just make sure you stay in the water. Nothing anyone can really do about it then. Just don't cross private property to get there. If I remember correctly, there's some kind of little park right there. That's your way in, don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
I got to get my fly rod out a few more times. You make it look like too much fun.

Re: Rock Creek..GOT CHUB???
Ken,
I used to live in Yorkville out on 47 and Canon ball trail. One of these night we should get together and fly.... man that sounds gay.. well we should go out fly fishing.. I have no experience on the fox or its tribs... if you even down on the dupage I am always there...

Re: Rock Creek..GOT CHUB???
Are you going to bring your fly rod to the monster quest.
Big flies, get them a little deeper, you never know.
I meant to get in touch with you about the Dupe. I know a few spots, but I'm always looking for something new.
I'll try to set aside a weekend to get there. Maybe a few of the others will tag along.
You ought to come out this Saturday if you can. See the Fox forum.
Oswego, Saturday morning.
