Planning to go early Friday for perch at either Navy Pier or 63rd St.
Problem is if I make "merry" on Turkey Day-no way i'm at the waterfront by 5am...
Plan-B is Saturday morning.
Wanted to take the boat to Ill River by Starved Rock but right now i'm a cold-front wimp..
Last winter i had pneumonia and that took about 6 weeks to flush out my system..
approx 2-3 hours casting on shore might afford me the health reserves vs. boating on the open water..
Can't afford more sick time after this year..
Plus i can be off the cold and in my car if needed..
I will hold off on winterizing the boat.
Maybe the weekend of 12/5 might be warmer...at least then i'll be ready!

Re: Lakefront perch
Used to hang out at 63rd when doing the fishing kids.
Some helpful old guys showed me where to go.
End of the pier, cast far out, slow swim back.
I don't know what I'm doing on that lake and I caught some.
