If I was rich.......
If I was rich.......
You can never fish the same river twice, by the time you get back it's not the same river.

Re: If I was rich.......
It's only $560,000.
I think that comes out to about $3,500 per month. Turn it into a campground and make some money off it.
According to real estate agents $3,500 per month should be easy.
I have a theory as to why society as we know it is going to change and end within the next 10 years. Real estate prices play the key role. I have never been wrong when making real estate projections. This one will come close to destroying things as we know it. You younger guys won't see it get better in your life times.
Buying this land and turning it into a fortress would be a wise move.

I'll have to see if anything is available along the upper Apple River. I bet that much money buys a little more out there.

Re: If I was rich.......
So now I wonder why none of you guys have ever mentioned fishing Jackson Creek. I remember marking it on my map 10 or so years ago, but like Hickory Creek, I never got to it.

Thats on my "to fish list" this year. Plan is to hit up the creek early and then move on the the rivers when the time is right.Ken G wrote:So now I wonder why none of you guys have ever mentioned fishing Jackson Creek. Never heard of Jackson Creek, there is alot of land to scoop up and buy. I like the camp idea - you can always build a "church" on it, form a religion and get it tax free. I mean fishing is a religion isn't it?
So Ken possible over 32 degrees for a straight week. Hitting the river..

Church of the Holy FIsh. I started it years ago.
Jackson flows through Midewin. Which I believe makes it off limits. Did years ago, they may have changed the rules. You can shoot deer there, but you can't fish. Go figure.
Di had her long awaited surgery a week ago and is looking at 4-6 weeks recovery time. Spent 3 nights sleeping on a cot next to her at U of C last weekend. She's sore as hell, but long standing, miss diagnosed issues going back over 30 years look like they've been solved. So my time out is a crap shoot for now. I'm doing what I can so she doesn't. She's climbing the walls after a week. Not the type that likes to sit still.
