I hate mid week good weather

Like any other blog, random thoughts on random subjects. Might be interesting, or not. I probably won't be putting up much more here. I have other blogs. Only registered users can see this forum.

I hate mid week good weather

Post by Ken G »

Maybe I can get to a spot or two on Wednesday.

After work.

For an hour.

It's not enough.

The weekend so far looks like it may rain.

I hate knowing that spring pattern.

Work sucks.

People that can take off later this week and go fish suck.

Now I know how others felt when I used to do it all the time.

I guess I used to suck.

Ahhhh, the good old days. I miss them.

Did hit the creek in Oswego on my way home from work today. Expected nothing and I wasn't disappointed. Nice walk though.

Funny how some creeks turn on now and some don't. I've always done better in Oswego in May.

At this point I'm hoping to hate mid-week good weather as well. Got a potential job lined up here, and I got my fingers crossed. As long as I get the interview I'm confident I can lock down the job. Funny how at this point I'm actually hoping to have only the weekends to fish.

Curse my brother for driving in from Virginia to visit on my only day off this week, all during the first warm spell of the year.... :x

Oh well, I guess seeing my only niece for the first time will make up for it.

Pez! - Good luck with the job bro, I hope it works out for you.

Hit the discharge. Ghost town. Walked all the way down the muddy bend.

Walleyes on Salt Creek right now.

LOVE IT!

Pissed off that I had to show up to school to take an exam. Otherwise I would have gone fishing for the whole day.

Since I work a two block walk to Graue Mill, my boss and I were talking about hitting it at lunch today.

I think I've fished it once in the 3 years I've been working that close to it.

That's the first river/creek I ever fished 14 years ago. Now I can't be bothered with it.

No smallies, so who cares.

Ken you could always go corporate and fish the McDonald's compound for Green bass and crappie. I spent some time there with my boys when they were young and learning not to fish. There is also a pond 1 block south of 31st off of york (cantebury street) that used to be the best....it was semi -private but now is part of the park district or forest preserves. My last go to spot has been shut down and that was Queen of Heaven cemetery, you would be hard pressed to believe all the big fish swimming in there with little or no pressure. Thanks for getting me back to thinking about the OLD neighborhood!!
