Word of caution,if your planning on fishing this river you will encounter plenty of algae.Mostly on the bottom but also plenty in the water column top to bottom.In spite of that I still managed ten nice smallies 14 to 17 inches.Nine on plastics and 1 on a buzzbait in mid afternoon.Everything caught close to shore and just outside the willow weed or in pockets.
Due to more silt on the bottom the footing is getting a little more treacherous.Move slowly and slide your feet.
