Quick report.
Got out at sunrise and fish were pretty much everywhere. Fast, slow, seams, you name it. Just hang things in the current and eventually it would get hit.
Used nothing but the Producto Pearl Spring Grub, my staple for at least 10 years now and caught 14 smallies, 2 channel cats that thought they were smallies and counted the missed hits at 22. I think I was out there for a little less than 3.5 hours.
At one point I was standing on a shallow flat casting into deeper water. The smallies were chasing the twister almost up to my feet and I was standing in only 6 inches of water. Cool to watch.
Have a lot more in my head and some pictures, if I get to either.

Very good news. Right now, most of the rivers are in good shape. I will have to get out on Monday and do some wading.

I concur fishing was hot last night and the fish very aggressive... I was using cranks and jigs but stuck with the jig and grub combo since the fish seemed to be relating to crayfish and feeding in the bottom. I wished I had brought my camera, saw a mink about 10 yards away catch a frog, and was munching it down seemed to be enjoying the moment as much as I. I also so 2 eagles flying up river at dusk, just too cool !!! Hope the bite last a bit, it is back to a typical summer pattern, just before we head into some cooling.
