Got court this morning, hitting the river on the way home.

First parking lot, walk upstream along the path, hop in at the beginning of the channel, out to the river and fish back to just about where the bluffs start.

Will probably be throwing everything at them today. Even bringing my home made topwaters.

We'll see.

Forgot I have training for work Tues.-Thurs. this week. Will have to try and get out on Friday. How did you do?

So, I was checking out the x-rap that I had that monster on and fixing the bent hook, when I noticed....the teeth marks in the bait. This is the first time I used this bait, and I only made around 10 casts with it, so that's really all I can think the marks would be... There is a gouge down the side of the bait from the eyeball all the way to the tail... Maybe my guess was wrong at that fish being a catfish. Maybe it was a musky or a northern? The paint is visibly scratched along the side. I guess it really doesn't matter, though, I'm worried that I'm still obsessing about this fish.

Flatheads and walleye have some pretty gnarly teeth as well.

In the Fox, my first guess would be flathead and second would be walleye. Don't see too many Pike or Musky hanging in the swift mid-river current away from structure. Also the presence of "mouth-flesh" on the hooks gives me more reason to suspect flatty, a very "fleshy-mouthed" creature indeed.

I use Rapala rattling Raps and the Bill Lewis Rattle traps with the sureset hook and the oval split ring. I don't like the hooks on the regular rattle traps.
