Had this in Dale's blog today.
It's about time the damn thing opens up. Just in time for winter.

so there will be a constant police presence to keep waders out?
What a long, strange trip it still is .
Put a glide in your stride, a dip in your hip and come onto the mother ship .

That was my question to the mayor, but I think she missed it.Norm Minas wrote:so there will be a constant police presence to keep waders out?
I have a feeling fishing line will be all over the place by some time next year. Should make the kayak run that much more of a challenge.

Re: Yorkville Kayak Chute
Thats a good question about being allowed to wade there. I can see them making a stink around the chute for a while but they shouldn't be able to tell us we are not allowed to wade at all in that whole area by Yorkville. There will be alot of people upset if they are going to be chasing fishermen out of the area. Someone tell me that is not the case! I have enjoyed fishing all around that area, matter of fact alot of people have. I have known people to travel a pretty good distance to fish there. I seen some good walleye come out of there and of course smallmouth. Lets not also forget that the area also has produced a few decent size muskies and people also go there to hunt them. Can someone get me straight on this? Are they talking about just the chute or that whole area. Or do they want you entering on the west side of the rt.47 bridge. Thanks guys

I never did clarify that with Duh Mayor. John makes a good point. You have to walk past the mouth of the chute to get up near the new damn.Special Ed wrote:Just the chute
I know where she lives, I'll have to go ask.
I'm sure she can't wait to hear from me again.
