I just wanted to report that I went out on Saturday and fished the east side of Geneva and Mill Creek. I caught 6 bass but they were all small and fishing was difficult. This will probably be my last time out as I already put away my fly rod. Ken, thanks for all of the posts this year and I look forward to fishing in 2011 in new spots that I learned of this year.

Don't put things away yet. You must have missed this.

Like I should talk, I have no clue if and when I'm going again. But tomorrow afternoon isn't looking too bad . . .

I've known about those disenfranchised vets for years. Maybe it's because I'm almost their age. And when I'm dressed for wandering around back there, I fit right in.

I went out last Saturday and fished the east side of Geneva near the train tracks and Mill Creek. I caught six bass, but they were all under 12 inches. Fishing has been difficult the last few times out. Ken, thanks for all the new spots that you have turned me onto in the last couple of years, and I look forward to fishing again in 2011. I have put my fly rod away for the year. By the way, I went out twice on the Kankakee in September and caught half a dozen fish on each trip. The fish are larger than on the fish, but the river is more difficult to wade and fish. Anybody looking for a good guide should contact Matt Mulady, as he knows the river better than anyone.
