Fox and other info for Bowman

Post by Ken G »

Okay guys, here's Dale's email address.

outdoordb@sbcglobal.net

Make sure you let him know you got it off my site. He trusts my judgement in people so I'm going to have to trust you guys to give him legitimate fishing reports.

No bullshit reports, nothing but the truth.

I know I'll hardly be getting out, but I have a feeling you young guys have more time.
So I'm hoping Darth, Matt and Andrew will start feeding Dale reports. Anyone else that wants to chime in, go ahead. But you need to be consistent.

He mainly needs Fox reports, open water or ice, but you'll notice he doesn't even list the Des Plaines or dupe. He will if he consistently gets good reports. I give away my spots as you can tell from his reports. It's your discretion on how you want to do it. On the Fox, vague just doesn't cut it.

Good luck guys and let me know what happens.

Darth,
You're no fun. Damn man, I fished the Fox over 48 months straight and caught smallies every month.

I just don't do it anymore cause I proved everything I wanted to prove, so there's no reason for me to freeze to death anymore.

Besides, I stay warmer combing the woods trying to shoot squirrels.

Dale may have to put up with my theories of where to winter fish.

I know where to go to hook into ice cold water carp.

Doesn't anyone want to know?

lol Carp?

No!

This time of year carp are all over my crankbaits in the slack water.

I've caught em (smallies) all year long at the WWD in Elgin and St. Charles but since discovering ice fishing that pretty much eats up all my time.
I just refuse to ice fish the river...I think that's goofy=)

When i used to have 5mm neoprene I would "float n' fly" some deeper holes for smallies in Jan and Feb but now my waders are breathable and I'm not interested in freezing my nads off=)

Come spring I'll be back out fishing, I hope.
I think we should tag team the reports, me south, you further north and whoever else wants to chime in between. I'll talk to Dale over the winter and see what else he wants. Dan's hitting south creeks and maybe I can talk him into the south end of the Des Plaines, Matt and Andrew are on the Des Plaines.

Maybe we can all just become his better local sources.

I've tried to get Dale to just come take what he wants off my site, but he's too busy. He likes it when I summarize things for him.

As for ice fishing, only barbarians ice fish. :P :P

DesPlaines and its main feeder creek - Salt Creek.

Bass and Pike were going CRAZY out there in October. No Walleyes.

I like the ideas.
