Sounds like a Saw Wee Kee kind of day. Wrong side of the river, can only go so far without floating the rest of the way, but it's doable. Kind of.

Did Matt ever get back to you about how him and his brother did the other day over there?

I'm contemplating the Oswego stretch. 2200 would be about perfect.

2370 and it looks like it might take a nose dive. Hard to tell. Could be 2200 tomorrow.

Went 9/9 on the Ken G scale. Couple of heavy ones on I never got to see. That seems to happen a lot.

Was out there for 3 hours.

I was going to try bigger lures, but I had on the usual, tossed that in, went 2/1 in 15 minutes and decided why switch.

The wade was brutal. Current kept me closer to shore where all the boulders are. Pretty much sucked tripping over them all the time.

I was tempted to hit Oswego after work. Saw the lil ones when I got home and realized I would rather be here than there.

I can get some wrapping done tonight without aching legs. Maybe Tuesday is my day...

Smart move.

That was one of the benefits of being a busy freelancer when my kids were young. Play all day, fish for awhile, work when they were sleeping or off to school. Guilt free living.

Was also cool to be the only dad to show up to school events held in the middle of the day. The moms would always ask, are you unemployed?

Floated from Yorkville to Silver Springs and boated two dinky fish on jig and twister. Doc threw Murdich Minnow streamaers all day and didn't have a bump. Water color and shmuts on my drift boat at the end of the day were very very depressing. Need new river to float...any ideas guys? Won't do this stretch again...

You could try the Kank but I think the rivers around here are better suited to wading....

I'm up on the hill in Yorkville, you had to float right past me.
That is a tough stretch, waded the section below my house on Wednesday, from the canoe launch down for a quarter mile. Two taps. Used to be better, but I can't key in on the fish. Been that way for a few years now. Five miles upstream from Yorkville and the fishing has been pretty good.

The Fox is definitely not known for it's clarity during the warmer months, but the fishing can be good when you get on them. You will be cleaning your boat of gunk though.
