Stripmine report
Last Saturday, got down to my club with a pal around 1pm. Didnt even bother getting on the water due to the crazy heat until 4pm. The plan was to troll the reed line and pitch tubes for bass and rockies. I have a tried and true method-specific kind of tube, specific color, rattle insert, etc. All of which failed miserably in the face of my pal's DeadRinger worm on a 1/8 oz slider head method. Tubes produced zero, DeadRinger produced a dozen bass between us. Nothing sizable, just consistent fun. Picked up a few big rockies and to finish off the evening, a nice 22" kitty. Btw, I think I saw a river otter scooting thru the reeds at shoreline. Just saw the tail end and it sure wasnt a muskrat, beaver, super rat or mink. Kinda cool, kinda concerning since I know those things sure arent vegans....

When all else fails, there's nothing a 4 inch black finesse worm on a slider head won't catch.
Used to be my go to lure when everything else failed. Now I start with them.
