Hey Ken-

You can make a clay master and then make a plaster of paris mold. Hand pour 'em. Nothing to it. If you want an exact copy you can even make a mold of a plastic lure. Here's a good thread on TackleUnderground:

When your POP mold wears down, make another from your master. You can get everything you need for about $10, excluding the plastic you'll need to pour.

Thanks Sam. That's what I was thinking. I'm going to have to give this a try. Nothing on the market that I can find looks like I want it to.

I don't know if you ever heard of Macs Critters. He's always at the Tinley Show. He showed me how he does his. I'll have to pick his brain too. Instead of plaster of paris, he used some kind of rubber for the mold. It apparently never wears out. I'll let you know what I find out.

He uses alumlite, I'd bet. More durable and also much more expensive. That's why I'd suggest POP molds first if you want to try it and see how it goes. You will get a better quality end product from alumlite. It's available at most hobby stores. Just bring $35...
