Dan asked for a map. Thought I would put it up for everyone.
Scroll around on this to figure it out.
If you are coming from the east on I-88, get off at Farnsworth South and take that to Route 56. Then go west to the river and Route 31. North on 31 about a mile or so and you'll see Les Arends.
They've been working on the 88 bridge forever and I believe the 31 exit is still closed.

The area is getting pounded on an almost daily basis.
Started when I first put up the Monster Quest notice and it's been raised to an almost feverish pace.
At least my point is being proven about the quality of fish in the area.
Busy couple of days ahead of me. If I don't get on here, see you all on Sunday.

I actually got out there after work wednesday for an hour and a half. Second time there just exploring a little trying to figure it out. I found a nice area with some nice current thats in the middle of two islands. It gradually slopes down to chest deep water. That one area i had about 10 hits and landed 3. At the time i didnt know why the fish were there but after they stopped hitting i tried walking through there but i turned around after it got too deep. Surprised that at this low water the current was really rippin. As i proceded my feet were starting to slip out so i decided i didnt feel like floating down river so i backed out.
See y'all sunday morning. Cant wait!!!

That was one of the spots I was going to warn you about.
It can really suck. Don't know anyone that's made it through without taking a bath. And it's really not that big of an area.
Make sure you tell guys what you were using.
Come prepared.

I was using the usually 1/16 oz. jig and white twister. I was getting alot of short strikes so i ripped off 1/8 in. of the body of the twister and then landed a couple. I tossed a couple lures with nothing.

When I fish a twister I usually use 1/4 do you think that would work or should I get some 1/16 any colors

Colors shouldn't matter much Sam. I would definitely bring some 1/16oz and 1/8oz jigheads with you, though. 1/4oz might be a bit heavy. Depends on the current, though. If it's really rippin you might need a 1/4oz to keep it close to the bottom. Also depends on where you want the bait in the water column. If the fish are bustin on the surface you'll want a lighter jighead. Just make sure you have some white twisties of some kind

The two stretches that are going to get fished have depths up to 4 feet and have some current to it.
The fish are on the bottom. I can get the lighter jigs down there. Been doing that for years. But I am bringing a few heavier ones for this. You guys will be fishing painfully slow. At times you're going to want to make sure anything you use is going to be somewhere near the bottom.
That's where the bigger ones live. Especially if you can tie into a flathead or muskie.

I always carry jigheads from 1/16oz up to 1/4oz. I should be able to get the light ones down there, though.
I'm so looking forward to this Ken. Can't wait to get out there and nail some fish!!! Looks like the rain is supposed to hold off until the afternoon as well, so should be a good day!!! Overcast skies... I might even toss some spinnerbaits for a little while on that note.
