Is it big enough to hold a drift boat?

To be honest not sure how big a drift boat is. It's pretty shallow skinny water in the few spots I've waded. This will be my first time kayaking it

Yes I do Ken...somehow the subject landed here.
Fished yesterday above the Whitetie bridge with a fly rod for about 500 yds. Caught 4 on a Murdich Minnow where they were hiding next to rocks. It was my third trip there and the water had cleared finally. Still a bit murky and at times hard to see where I was wading.
switched to white jig and twister below bridge and did well. Caught one monster as a big surprise. Saw what I thought was a carp swimming away at my fit...not clearly seen...threw my 3" white twister ahead of him and my line went tight. so big it struggled to jump!
Awed by the beauty of the stream...not loads of fish. but found them where they should have been.
Still hoping to float you guys down the lower DuPage Ken...work this weekend on finding put ins will ya?
fished the West Branch of the Dupe on Tuesday...very clear...far between runs...but caught one nice 16" in a deeper run.
No fishing today...and will be going back to work soon after quite a hiatus. Fish while you can...because...if you're not f---ing off...you are f---ing up!

I love giving you guys a hard time you know.
Landed a 5 month full-time freelance gig today, so weekdays will be out for awhile.
I used to know DuPage put ins by heart, I'll do some research. Refresh my memory.
The Pezdek brothers used to hit up the Mazon in April and May and do really well. That river floods so easily, it freaks me out for the reason you mentioned. The bottom is nothing like the Fox.
With the slight influx of cash, I'm going to have to plan an Apple River outing, possibly the fall. I love the colors, plus if I do it right, I can go do a couple of hours of squirrel hunting too.
