I'm kind of with John on this. The work ethic of a lot of people just doesn't exist anymore. I do things for others the way I want them done for me. And I don't care if I'm tipped.

Doesn't take up much of my time and it's done right.

An old friend now owns a pizza joint on the southwest side where I grew up. Stopped in to talk a year ago. His comment . . . everyone wants a job, but nobody wants to work. Rings pretty true.

Thanks Ken , Your friend is pretty much on key. I'm always doing stuff on jobs to help people. I'll have our operator dig a little hole for the electrican. It will drive my boss nuts wanting me to get extra tickets signed. However by digging that little ditch our jobsite trailer gets hooked up with power just like that and if we ever need to borrow a power tool they will give it to me with no problems. Doing shit like that for the General on the job works great too. I don't ever pay attention to this" rules are rules" crap. I go with my gut and just flat out being fair. I store my sleds at an older ladys farm in Big Rock. Her husband passed years back. I told her and she knows she can call any time, day or night if she has trouble or needs anything. Also with her being a farmer and her growing up there I have that much more respect for her. I've always had a lot of respect for a farmer. Just me being a good guy sometimes is stress relieving knowing I helped some one.
