When I used to go to Virginia a lot, a friend and I would go fishing. We would take all the shit in our tackle boxes and put together lures from hell, then fish with them.
We actually caught fish. Never thought of photographing these things. They looked like bizarre sculpture.
Okay, I'll be back, have to go get my tackle box . . .
I'll see what I can come up with.

I've purposely taken myself out of the "kid" loop. Now I get it.

Seeing as how "child please" was actually a real quote, "kid" was a reference that seemed EXTREMELY quoteable.
I doubt you would be able to find a nickname more suitable......
(that was a challenge in case the context was lost via interwebz communication)
