Not totally the case. It tells me a few things already.

Number one if you advertise you'll get a hit. OBN and FB are my two prime in that order. PS Found out that none of friends read it ;)

No one goes to old stories, at least not yet. Recycling old information can be productive maybe?

People are reading, so how do you encourage feed back? Do you end the blog in a question? Might be an interesting test.

People like eye candy. Even if you don't.

But you have a completely different scenario.

I've always thought FB as a waste of time. Take the t-shirts I do and have promoted. All the anglers on there and not a single sale. Maybe they don't like them, but then why do they sell in New Zealand, South Korea, France, England and any state other than Illinois?

I just read a thing on reviving old stories, only now I don't know where I read it. There's a plugin to get that summary at the top like FSA. They suggested to put in some of your older better posts rather than cycling through the ones put up recently. Can't remember the name of the plug in of course.

I thought about the advertising, but I would hate to start watching what I say because an advertiser may not like it.

I was initially reluctant to keep piling on the pictures, but after looking at other blogs, why stop.
Topless women holding guns and fishing poles. That will bring them in.

We'll start our own outdoors version of The Full Monty. There you go. People will pay to see that. I don't know about you guys, but I look good in hip boots and a jock strap.

I should of said spreading the word, not advertising. I am not selling anything, so I embrace those that just stroll along to read.

I was thinking about using FB for the blog, but I will keep them apart. I will post of the blog, but I will not bring in new readers to FB. Unless it is totally different. My FB was created for a reason, it is to personal for that. I should post my links on Ed's Fourseason page - he as something for blogs.

Hip boots and a jock strap? Add a cape, you can be the Fox River Blogger Super Hero.

I figured it out in ten minutes. Should take you 5.
That didn't work. Doesn't tell me much of anything. At least nothing coming from the outside.
You got the name right? There's a WordPress.com stats and then you put in WP Stats Dashboard, but it all requires a WP.com site, which I don't have. I must be missing something.

I truly hate this shit. Fucking computer geeks.

Travis, when you consider how many posts I've left on fishing forums over the past 12 years, I probably am superblogger.

Doesn't one of your rules of writing mention profanity?

I am not in it right now. But yes it is on the dashboard, so yes I think you need a wp-name.

No. Wordpress.com Stats requires an API key, and you can get one for free.

Would you like me to do it for you? :D

Give me an admin login to your blog and I will get you what you need. Free tech support, how can you beat that?

Finally found this after 2 days.

Note: If you are privately hosting an installation of WordPress, you still must register a WordPress.com account in order to obtain an API key.

Let's all make this more difficult than it needs to be.

Being the control freak that I am, I decided to go with this one.

http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-slimstat/

I have no clue what to do with the info it gathers, but some day I may care . . . oh my, my page visits from facebook have plummeted, note to self, friend everybody on earth!!!

That's in REAL writing that get's posted, not impromptu posts. Besides, I own this joint, I get to make up the rules as I go along.

Or change them. :D
