8-)

I have that effect on people. I guess I give them the "gift of gab".

I can't wait for your report from this weekend Ken. The rivers and creeks are about to crack wide open. The end of my spring semester can't come soon enough!

I don't even know where I'm going yet. There was a certain beaver subdivision I explored last year that's calling me. That would be a fishless adventure for sure. The places I have in mind are so far away from the river, it's doubtful anything will be up there.

But I guess you never know.

Stick with the grown up sites...they are pretty easy to spot fairly quickly=)
You're also missing out by not BSing with the FHQ crew. Whatch'a waiting for? ;)

I Know! I've checked it out a few times and keep meaning to sign up

I've been pretty infrequent on the handful of fishing sites I visit but I will sign up=)

Drove down to Rend Lake for the weekend.
Tough crappie bite but we caught fish plus some bass and cats.
water temps hit mid 60's, needs more time to get the spawn fully developed.

Very nice weather, got sun, fish, kids had a blast.

cabins right on the water, very cool.
They are a few weeks ahead of us for blooms.

Sunday afternoon we hit the main bay.
In the 3-4 square mile bay we saw only 1 other boat.
Drove up on a huge flock of mixed birds.
Ducks, heron and what looked like pelicans.
Stopped the boat to let a ~1 mile long trail of ducks flyby, 2-3 across.
They were ~5ft off the water and it was literally as far as we could see North to south.

it was like we had them to ourselves.

getting the kids out even with low #'s of fish caught was worth every cent and time to travel there.
It didn't matter we all still had a great time.
:D

back to work...i told my bride that the boat is calling to get out again..
painting first..then fishing
