That's what I learned to drive on.

Coolest one was this massive forklift we had. At 15 I got to lift a stepvan onto a loading dock with it.
When I was 16 my dad offered to teach me how to drive. He didn't realize what I was doing at work. Memories of that first trip out with him with me driving are worth their weight in gold.

Too bad my and my brother and Dad's experience teaching my mom to drive stick wasn't like that. What a nightmare.

Oh god....teaching the women folk - at least the ones I've tried to teach - to drive stick is a recipe for disaster.

You have to do it when they're teenagers otherwise it's not worth it. I like how every woman will tell you that women are better at multitasking. HA, crock of shit. Maybe between their ears, but most can barely walk and chew gum. I raised my own daughters so that wouldn't happen. Believe it or not, it's a spatial relationship thing. Try tossing a ball to a woman...

Was tossing things at my daughters at a very early age so they can get used to the whole 3D aspect of what's around them. Then making them throw things at objects trying to hit them. This simple little thing taught them a lot about the world around them and has worked quite well. Now when my older daughter drives I'm telling HER to slow down... You taught me dad, remember?
