I took Zach out to some ponds the other day because the river just wasn't doing it. He got 12 , I got one. He got the location, depth and speed control right without any direction from the old fart fishing on the other side. Outside of some trash talk from him, it was good to see he has been paying attention all these years.

When we both fished Phil's pond with him down in Champaign, he out fished Phil and I combined. Damn good for aqteenager out fishing two old farts who fish more in a month than a lot of guys fish in a year.

The worst was I still had to pay for his food, he forgot to bring money, both times. I think next time he will row while Phil and I fish.

Ah yes, but how does he do on the river?
