Went out with my dad this Sunday and walked a good section of the Dupage. I didn't land anything the whole day. I had one small bass that self released before I could get him to me. My dad hit on a chub, a few small LMB a handful of bluegill, and we saw some large carp swimming about. Nice visibility and not an overabundance of weeds. I'm really enjoying exploring wading and moving water.

You must have been on a different stretch than me a couple of buddies was because the stretch I was on was loaded with weeds. I was only able to land a single large mouth in a three hour attempt. I think my biggest problem was the fact it was noon to 3 that I was out there.

We went in straight east of the parking lot and waded north once that trail dumps off to the river. There is a little dirt path that leads off the trail before you get to the bridge. We were here and went north to the crap plant.

Been driving over the Dupe at 126 a few times recently. That stretch has always been loaded with weeds and I don't think I've fished it in 10 years. Right now it looks like a big green mat covering the river. The fish are down there, they were in the past, but that's a lot of work.
