Fish are too stressed from the drought. We did have a limited fish kill but didnt lose too many bass as far as I can tell. At one point the pond receded a good 10 feet from its normal shoreline. Thanks to the bubblers for keep the pond kicking. It better rain soon because this is effing bullshite. My sump pump cistern is bone dry. Normally I have a foot of water standing in there....

Went out to some ponds with my daughter a couple of weekends ago. Down 2 to 4 feet from when I was there in April. The gills disappeared, probably deep and the bass were biting, but not like usual.

I'm reluctant to go back till they refill.

Which may be next April.

The ponds gotta be refilled after yesterdays soaker.

Good news/bad news....my neighbors peach tree is so laden with fruit this year that the dang thing broke apart so tonite we gotta go get all that delicious fruit before it spoils....

Man, that would drive me nuts. It's easier to keep track of the days I don't fish than the days I do.
