That's Better Numbers

Post by Ken G »

Got out Friday after work for a couple of hours and hit a stretch between Montgomery and Oswego that I haven't done in awhile. Was no where near the shit plant, didn't want that to be a factor.

The fish were in all kinds of water. Fast, slow and in between. Didn't seem to matter much.

Wound up with 24 caught and 19 missed. Included a handful of largemouth in one of the slower sections.

One stretch I was consistently getting hit. When I got close, I just let a jig/twister sit out there with about 8-10 feet of line out and caught six more smallies.

No where near the amount of floating bullshit in the water. Lot less to clean off the hook. The rush of rain seemed to have pushed a lot of it out. Still some around, but nowhere near as bad.

Will be interesting to see if this rain will help turn things on more. Since the bulk of the rain has stayed south, it's done nothing to the river. But maybe even a little bit of fresh water may help.

I'll know by the end of day Monday.

Wish I caught half the fish u missed, be a smallie millionaire!

Worked the K3 a few different spots between 55 and rock creek. Think your tired of algae and grass up here head down there. Its fricken brutal! On a positives it was nice to witness current for the first time this summer!
