Damn Creek

With Blackberry Creek as hot as it's been, I figured Big Rock has finally turned on.
Boy was I wrong today.
When the water was higher I caught and missed a fair amount on one day and 50 feet of wading. Today, three caught, two missed and I got down to the mouth.
Before the flood I was monitoring if the carp and suckers were in yet on an almost daily basis. Nothing.
Met a guy last week at the creek that said a few days before the flood there were so many carp and suckers in there you could walk across the creek on their backs.
One of us has our years wrong and I know it's not me.
Today, not a single carp or sucker and only a half dozen bait fish seen. Creek is oddly devoid of life. I've never seen it do this.
