Anyone here ever hear of this river?

This morning I woke up in a somewhat shitty mood, which was a warning sign. Two hours later the muffler pipe on the wife's car dropped to the pavement. I like dragging muffler pipe around. Such a soothing sound.

Every morning I breeze through shit real quick before heading off to work. Something was on Facebook from Heartland Outdoors. I clicked on it, scanned it, went back to Facebook and left the only comment.

Really?...

This is what warranted the comment:
This past Monday I had the unique experience of paddling and fishing a stream that is new to me and, for the most part, is unknown to most bass fishermen in Illinois...
...What river am I speaking of…...............? Any guess? I would bet that very few would guess the Des Plaines River.
It's in an article by Jonn Graham.

I like Jonn, I really do, but there are times when he says things I just cringe. This is one of them.

HAHAHAAAAaaaa, I keep typing things in, then deleting them. The wife was standing here and I was telling her I should never make comments when I'm tired and in a shitty mood... "Ya think..." was her response.

SO, maybe I'll come back later and expand on this. Or maybe not.

I have no clue who this guy is but it sounds like he knows very little about a very popular river.

Send me a list of your deleted comments Ken. I could use a few good laughs!

I forgot them all Ed. I vaguely remember some being pretty good. I'm getting better at self editing.

Jonn pretty much started and was the first president of the ISA. I've known him for almost 15 years now. No, he's not much for computers and as far as I know has never participated on any forums other than the ISA forum. Plus he lives south of I-80 and sometimes comes up this way to visit. He runs a guide service down his way and he does know what he's doing, but it's these kind of blanket statements that drives me nuts.

All he had to do was to go to any of the forums up this way and do a bit of reading.

Maybe he wouldn't have made that comment. Either way, he should know better.

I have a little known river... it's called the Fox. Hardly anyone fishes it. At least down my way. :D :D

Over the last couple of years I've done a pretty good job of making my writing and what I do out on the Fox irrelevant.

Over the past few years Andy has done the same thing with his writing and wherever the hell he fishes.

Difference is, he's not aware that he's become irrelevant.

That's ok, even if faced with the realization that he is irrelevant he would certainly blame it on someone else.

He's always the victim.
