The river level is plummeting faster than it has all year.

If this keeps up, Saturday will be the first day this year where you can safely go wade anywhere you want.

Even though the river has come down to 1500 cfs twice, each time it lasted only about 12 hours before it shot up again.

Once it hits 1200 cfs there are few places you can't go.

You would think after all this time that I would go hit the river this weekend.

Nope, there's a little creek that needs exploring.

At pretty much the exact moment I posted the above, the Fox gauge went from plummeting downward in an almost perfectly straight line, to stalling and then actually going back up almost 200 cfs to just above 1900 cfs.

Since, as far as I can tell, it didn't rain up north, did everyone swimming in the Fox chain piss in the lakes all at once?

Go figure.

Still makes the river wade-able, just have to be careful. That speed will still take your feet out from under you if you walk into a chute wrong.
