Low Water

The Fox is flowing just below 800 cfs even with the spotty rain that blew through here.

Doesn't get any better than that.

Not sure I'm getting out. Making a moving trip down to U of I over the weekend to get my oldest set up as a college girl.

There are some creeks down that way . . .

Couple of weeks ago I got her out for a last fishing trip before she headed out. We hadn't done that in a while. She likes wading as much as her old man does, so we headed to a very remote spot on Little Rock Creek.

And, yes, she's been fishing since she was 2 and does everything herself.

She found out yesterday that U of I has a bass club. Says she's going to check it out.
How many other girls do you know belong to a rod and gun club with three 30 acre lakes managed for largemouth bass?

When you see the size of this creek, fish like that are real treat.

Not enough girls are taught the good lofe on the water and in the fields. Mine loves to hunt and fish. Owns a pointer and a flusher, has 4 guns and belongs to a hunt club. To top it all off on her honeymoon they went to Texas for a pig hunt. Does not get much better.

Jim,
Must be the one I met once.

Hoping I can keep mine interested through her college years.
She's thinking of joining the school BASS club and an outdoors adventure group.

One can only hope.
