State Park Closings

Like any other blog, random thoughts on random subjects. Might be interesting, or not. I probably won't be putting up much more here. I have other blogs. Only registered users can see this forum.

AND reopened as of this week!
Plus restaffed.

If they had to cut $ somewhere else or fire a skimmed in family member too bad.

At least they are open again!

Illini is close by with a mile of river frontage.

My daughter is in Champaign.
Hoping to go down and fish the Kickapoo before she comes home for the summer.

I would go, closed or not.

I don't need no stinkin' amenities.

Kickapoo SP is very cool.
Lots of lakes and the creek runs through the property.

Bring bass gear and topwaters.

There are lots of trails to the waters edge.
While fishing look for other clearings at the water and figure out how to hike over to fish them.

I used a spinning rod and flipped a pop-r around any wood and brush by shore.
Banks were steep so bass were right on shore.

Its about ~20 minutes east of Champaign.
