6/20/09 Weekend stuff

Weekend stuff is a good way to put it.
Unless you like catching catfish, which I hate as much as pond fishing, may as well go find other stuff to do.
Not that the fish won't be biting, the river just seems to be stuck at 2200 cfs this year. Give or take a few hundred cfs. And that just sucks for getting across the river. It always seems that the best fishing is on the opposite side of where you have access. Or it's out in the middle of the river.
Creeks are dead. I may go back every now and then and check, but I don't have my hopes up this year.
I have a feeling I'll be out with the sunrise on Saturday morning. I have a kitten that thinks it's time to play as soon as it starts to get light out.
I have a feeling I'm going to head over to Orchard Road, walk the tracks, drop down to the river and fish the shore back.
I also have a feeling I'm going to be cussin' and swearin' every time I hit a spot that's deeper than I like it.
And I don't like it filling my waders.
