Friday Fishing

Anyone that wants to meet me, I'm off Friday, my wife is heading off to work at 6 AM and I'm heading out fishing.
Aux Sable creek where it goes under Route 52. I don't have a link to a map so you'll have to look it up. There's a relatively new Kendall County Forest Preserve right there and I'm going exploring.
I should be there around 6:30 give or take a few minutes.
Look for the Kia Sportage.
It could be a total waste of time, but I've had this area on my fishing radar for over 10 years. May as well finally get around to it.
Sunday if the river keeps coming down I'm hitting the Fox at Orchard Road about the same time in the morning.
Gotta squeeze in some fishing while I can.

Too bad I have to help my old man around the house with some projects on Friday.
I guess that's my reward for already spending about 4 weeks of summer vacation fishing up north. Otherwise I'd be up for a new adventure.

On Friday, if it looks like I'm wasting my time, I'm going to check it out then high tail it to Orchard Road.
Sunday. . . just checked out the Kankakee gauge. About where I like it. Haven't been down there for 5 years I think, almost that long.
Area 7 might be calling me.
I'll have to think about this.

Baker Woods and Aux Sable Creek were worth wandering, but useless for fishing.
More on that later.
Then went to Orchard Road. Perfect water, 2 dink smallies and an 18 inch cat. Hardly worth it.
My plan on Sunday is to be at Area 7 around 7 AM, fish for about 4 hours, my boredom limit, then head home. It's about an hour drive for me, but I haven't done it in about 4 or 5 years so it will be worth it.
In other words, probably done and heading home by noon, unless I'm catching a smallie on every other cast.
Rain coming in on Saturday. I'll see how that screws up my plans. Then I'll come up with Plan B.

Bummer Ken,
I had to work today and have family staying with us from out of town this weekend (well that part is not a bummer).
Would love to be able to fish you sometime this summer.

If I know for sure I'm going to a particular spot, I'll post it and anyone that wants to come, just show up.
Tim, I should do at least one more trip to Batavia so you can learn that stretch. But I won't go back there till the water is normal. Which might be October the way things are going with the water levels.
