It's going to be too hot even for me.
So I've decided to go hit the stretch below Route 34 in Oswego. Though I've been fishing the quarter mile stretch upstream of Orchard Road, I haven't hit the rest of it for a few years. Time to change that. Here's the area I'm talking about.

Those islands are actually owned by the Kendall County Forest Preserve District. They are big and almost impenetrable at times, so don't be surprised if I disappear onto one or two of them to do some exploring.
The red dot on the next map indicates where I'll be parked. You should be able to figure that out from the map.

I should be there around 6:30 AM
This is a lot of water. With all the islands and channels it's almost like having 2 rivers to fish.
I'm sure the fishing is going to suck, but you won't know till you go.
Getting out of here when done fishing is easy. Walk up the short hill on the east/southeast and follow the railroad tracks back into Oswego.
Bring plenty of water if you come along.
