The stories in my head are actually prettty good. Quite involved. Descriptive. Sentimental. Reflecting on the coming of fall, end of summer, desperation of anglers to take advantage of the remaining days, things I find while I'm out there. And on and on and on.
And that's where they're going to have to stay till some other day. Just don't have the time to jot them down.
Did get out the fly rod for this venture. Black and pearl clouser equals pearl twister and jig. Fish them identically. So I did. This isn't fishing science and the logic is obvious to me. Maybe not so to fly rodders. Lost count after 10 hits because one stretch got a little nuts with hits. Don't think it went over 20 hits.
But I did land 5 of them. The hook on this clouser is smaller than the smallest jig hook I like to use. Got to blame something.
