What the hells with that!

I could feel the chill in the house as I wandered around pretending I was interested in getting ready for work. The weather report for the past night called for temps in the mid 40's. It seemed colder.
Part of my morning routine is to pull together my lunch for the day by going out to the garden and grabbing a big handful of cherry tomatoes. Tiki the bitch queen won't allow that to happen without her presence. While I rummage through the tomato plants, she has to scour the yard for any scent of any animal that may have violated her space over night. When found, each new scent needs to be pissed on. Amazing how much piss a dog can force out.
By the time I was nearing the end of the tomato picking, my hands felt like they were freezing. As I walked toward the back door, I exhaled. I could see my breath. That's just not right. At least not yet.
The bitch queen on the other hand was loving it. Butt on the ground, nose in the air checking for more scents. She'd sit there for hours if you let her.
