A little late posting this oh well. Spent the about 6 hours hiking and fishing along the river. This was my first visit so I wasn't sure what to expect I was pleasantly surprised at how beautiful the river is. I parked by a bridge and headed for the first hole downstream of the bridge. My 2nd of 3rd cast with a black sammy produced a 12 inch smallie. I was pumped this is gonna be a great day I thought. I'm thinking to myself "I'm not that far away from the bridge and I quickly get a fish on a topwater I'm gonna slay them today". Had to bust my hump the rest of the day to scratch out another 5 smallies, 1 greenie and 3 rock bass. Caught fish on white grubs, mustard colored tubes the sammy and a fluke. The river was very low and clear. One of smallies followed the fluke all the way to my feet, I paused the fluke and it lay quivering on the surface and I swear I heard the fish say "F*** it. I'm gonna eat it" before he nailed it. No size to any of the fish but we all now the river has potential.

It is an extremely beautiful river. I haven't been out there in a few weeks. How is the water level? Last I went the river was so low I would barely consider it a creek lol. Good to see fish can still be caught there. I'll head back there sometime in the next couple weeks. Nice job out there.

We're supposed to get rain next week.
I wonder if that would bring a few fish back in, or let the rest leave.

You guys need to go check it out the end of next week. :P :P

Somebody has to.

I have no spare time this week. It's driving me nuts. Fresh water and I can't do anything about it.

Bummer.
