You should email the deer to Dale Bowman. He's been running a buck of the week series.

It may not have the biggest antlers, but you sure caught the stature right.

When is it opening Sparks?

I talked with a DNR a few weeks back and told him what you told me about it opening before winter and he said "not a chance".

Nice pics btw. Thanks

TB,

October's weather totally screwed up the schedule; we practically lost the entire month. Operation's is leaning towards keeping the preserve closed until spring, but there is a good possibility that a limited opening for ice fishing will happen. There are sections of the south end of the lake that were barely impacted by the construction.

The main problem is that most of the seeding has not been able to establish itself, due to the late planting, and any foot traffic in those areas would require us to have to regrade and reseed in the spring.

If I hear anything definitive, I will pass it on.

Scott

OK. Thanks for the info.

I keep driving by and checking. Been letting those pesky squirrels out over there and the DNR officer told me I'm not suppose to. LOL That's where they live, man.

For those of us out of the loop, what are you talking about? DuPage buy something new?

This is the public blog, PM me if there is a name you don't want out there yet.

I'm curious.

Oh hell I'll just google it.
