Thought I would put up some appropriate links to info you should need and want.
The following link will take you to Openlands. This can take you awhile to wade through, but I have feeling this link will go on just about all the forums. To maps for canoeing, hiking, biking to links to just about every conservation group I have heard of working in Illinois, and then some.
Openlands
The best local group regarding all things watersheds is a must see for the conservationists out there.
The Conservation Foundation
If you are going to float on or wade rivers, then you need to visit this site.
National Organization for Rivers (NORS)
Good national group to get involved with.
American Rivers
Where our current IDNR head came from.
