I believe it, those guys give me a look everytime they see me wading around there. You know the look.......
Still doesn't mean I won't fish there occasionally. If that's where the fish are, that's where I am going to fish.
Salmon wins. I put out some messages for a powerliners party Wednesday night. If you feel like getting in touch with your inner-manhood, come on out. We will be grilling meat, attempting to catch fish, possibly enjoying a beer or two
, and as for myself - enjoying a cigar or three.
5 pm to 8pm
I can pm you details.

Ed, I can't make it for Wednesday.
You should come out with me and Planthaber on Saturday when you get done with class. We'll be either at Montrose or Diversey.

I am on Spring Break until Monday next week. Saturday sounds good if my boating plans wash out.
Do you guys have a time-frame?
Sorry to be the one to drive this one right off the tracks Ken.

I would love to get out this weekend with you guys, but I'm actually making a steelhead trip out to the lovely Ohio Steelhead Alley. Nate and I have some new bodies of water to try. I made him go out last weekend while I was in sunny Las Vegas and do some recon work. I do plan on hitting up the Fox for some early season muskie fishing next weekend if the water levels and temperatures cooperate. I'll have my 10wt. fly rod ready to go and I plan on spending some serious time in a few areas that people have directed me too. If anyone would like to join and I'll post some information on the we're going fishing links. Good luck to all getting out this weekend. Hopefully this past weekend of rain made the waters perfect for this weekend.

John, give me a call.
I'd like to join if heavy hardware is allowed - in my case, a 7 footer heavy action that throws 8-inch jerkbaits.
But if you go solo, it would be wise to have proper extraction tools - hook cutters, jaw spreaders, long-nose pliers. I use all three on almost any given day when I'm out and happen to catch them. You'd be silly to fish without them on you.

Oh yeah, Ed, we will probably be out there afternoon. I think. I mean, it's local for us and we wouldn't have to make a 90-mile trek like we do for Milwaukee. So a time commitment won''t even be involved.
If I end up going, which is looking more and more with this lack of a receding DesPlaines river, I'd be there for the afternoon hours.

Sorry Ken!
Travis,
I thought you were 50/50 on going....? If you can go tonite, don't call me.
(I forgot my phone at home)
Shoot me an email. I am still going, and I have maybe one other guy coming out.
This won't be a big shindig, but I am still going.

It was for your own good. Who reads Fox posts for the opportunity to go to Lake Michigan?
Well, except me. But I'm ADD and to follow disparate trains of thought is normal for me.
