Well I made it out straight from the office yesterday and tried a stretch new to me. I parked where king rd ends in bolingbrook and fished the section down stream from there. Didnt have any luck with the smallies but looks like there could be some decent spots through there. I did see quite a few deer, a beaver, a turtle, and alot of carp. All in all I think it will be a section that I will try again when I have more time.

A small group of us hit that whole area back in March. Too soon, but it was more exploring. I pass by there everyday. Lots of interesting looking water. Now the fish just have to show up.
There's another spot just up from where the two come together. Knock Knolls I believe.
It's only April. I've got all summer into fall to hit these spots.

When I was out there I recognized the area from some of the pictures you had up on a previous post! First it was a large flat boulder and then a rusted abandoned piece of farm equipment. The stretch looks like it could have some opportunities and I will be back out there. This summer I also will be doing some exploring for some new areas. I used to live in Naperville before I started fishing rivers and there was a railroad bridge a little south of ogden rd near Royal St. George; have you ever fished this area through there ? I keep thinking of going and giving it a try but never do. I cant wait to get the pontoon out soon and finding some new spots; this thing worked great for floating but not so much for paddling. It has alot of drag.....
