Well plans didnt work out like I thought they would; turns out both pontoon boats had valve problems with one of them being completely broken and unable to hold any air at all. This on top of a late night Saturday turned Sunday into a short but still somewhat productive day on the water. I was out in the Shorewood and Channahon areas Saturday and Sunday and picked up quite a few nice fish. Saturday I was in the Hammel Woods area; smallest fish was 13.5" and the largest just over 17". My buddy picked up two the first lost at hand and it was a NICE fish the second wasnt bad either that pic is below. Sunday I fished off of Canal Rd. in Channohon for about an hour and picked up 4 fish most around 13" and one around 16" (I forgot my tape). Right now water levels are up slighty but still perfect for wading. Water on Saturday was gin clear but after the rains Saturday night have clouded up the water a little but still have a good 3 feet of clarity or more. Majority of fish right now I found are either in slowmoving or slack water next to deeper water or still guarding nests. The fish that are not on the nests are getting very agressive and willing to chase baits. I had a couple follows from a real pig on a rebel craw coming through the deeper water but couldnt get her to strike. The algea is REALLY bad all up and down the river so best baits lately are weedless rigged plastics; berkley power craws in watermelon flake are working best for me. Here are a couple pics from Hammel and the last from Canal rd. Only took one pic at Canal I was by myself and too tired to be messing around with trying to use the timer.
