Was curious of how the river was looking so decided to head over to kings rd in bolingbrook today to check out the conditions. Knew I wouldnt have alot of time as I got there about 645 but shortly after getting there clouds moved in then thunder and the lightning. Rain and thunder ok; lightning-I'm gone! Anyway I suprised how much changed since sunday; maybe it was just a difference in areas I dont know. Sunday water was still high fast and little visibilitly. Today flow and height is normal and clarity is pushing 3+ feet. I was really excited to see that and am praying that the weather holds this week because if it does the river will be in PERFECT shape for my 3 day weekend. I have so many spots I want to try this weekend on the Duper, Mazon, and Aux Sable; its just if my energy will be able to keep up. I want to try three days of marathon fishing and exploring; we will see what happens..........

Everything has been dropping and clearing pretty quick this week. Storms in the forecast for the next 24 hours, but these usually don't screw up the water much.

I can still do 3 day fishing marathons when I want. You've got to be a good 20 years younger than me, no excuses. :D :D

We expect reports.

I'm looking at a creek for sunset today. I'll just hide under one of the hundreds of trees when the lightning comes and hope it hits one of the other ones. That's worked so far.

Ken there will definitely be some reports; not sure if I'll do it each day or at the end of the weekend but I'll get them up. I have alot of different areas I have had in mind and i think this looks like the weekend where I will have the time and cross my fingers the right weather.
