Is it my imagination or are these the only two rivers that aren't washed out by all the recent rains.

The Fox stayed at the same level, at least it didn't go up.

The DuPage looks like it barely blipped and is just about back to normal. Anyone have a visual confirmation on that. I drove over it on Monday, but don't recall bothering to look at it. I assumed it was blown out.

Looked a bit creamy Monday evening. However it was slow and the banks looked to be at near normal levels.


The Fox looked normal to cloudy Monday night on the way to T-ball practice. This was at the Rt. 34 bridge downtown Oswego, so I didn't get a "great" look at it.


I don't think we got much ran, nor did Wisco-land.

As of 1:30pm the DuPage was a little cloudy but the levels looked good...very fishable!

Thanks guys. The Fox is at about 2000 cfs and I don't think this rain is going to do much. We forget that during a normal summer the Fox rarely has a foot visibility anyway.

The gauge is showing pretty much normal for the DuPage. A little off color wouldn't probably hurt the fishing since normally it's pretty much crystal clear. I would think the off color would make fishing easier.

I was out saturday and sunday and the levels were just a little high but visibility was at 2-3". Tried near downtown plainfield, caton farm and hammel with just a few fish. I have been wanting to get out more but between work and the rain that has been more difficult lately. Seems we are going to have a change for the better in the forecast for the next few days so maybe I will get that opportunity.

Scratch being fishable, stopped by the West Branch in Naperville at 11:00am and it was up and looked like chocolate milk! Just checked the USGS Gauge...Somewhere up north it rained pretty heavy! Time to try Whalon Lake again.

Well at least I will actually get my yard work done today after work.........

Yeah, I blew that report to Dale. Franks was better. Everything shot up overnight with a delayed reaction. Go figure.

Good news is that the Fox didn't come up much and it already went back down. Must have been some really spotty rains.
