Heartland Outdoors Opportunity

My stay at Heartland Outdoors lasted a whole 2 months. Anyone want to give it a try, there's an opening for Fox reports.
Just sent this off to Jeff Lampe.
Jeff.
Apparently I've lost the ability to tell people where to go, what to use and how to use it.
Can't come up with a single thing.
Or I've lost the interest.
Funny, I can write the kind of stuff I put on my blog with no real effort.
It just comes naturally.
I think I'm being told something here.
Sorry for the short notice and thanks for the opportunity.
But I'm done.
What ya gonna do.
I just don't have it in me to write things like that.

I was asked to reconsider and told I don't have to do the standard fishing reports.
Which is good. I can't do those any more.
Just write what I write. Problem is what I write far exceeds the 800 word limit.
This will be a challenge.

Hey Ken , I came across a Suntimes on Wed. and the Fox report mentioned that you were semi-retiring and they are looking to fill the position. I do not read the Times all the time. Is this Heartland Outdoors Opportunity related to that?

John,
Dale's calling it semi-retired because I'm giving up doing actual fishing reports. Go here, use this, fish it like this. It's the same thing over and over again. I got tired of it.
I'll only be doing the stories I put on my blog. He'll use those now and then.
He can use a regular contributor for Fox reports, but nobody seems all that interested in stepping up.
I had decided to stop doing fishing reports for Heartland, but Jeff the owner wants me to just do what I usually do and don't worry about making it a fishing report. I'm going to stick it out for now. He's giving me more leeway than I thought I had.
If you're going to be fishing the Fox, you ought to consider sending Dale reports.

Yeah I bet you do get a little tired of those reports. If I get some good fishing in on the Fox, I guess I could just send a report in. I really don't qualify in giving advice! If I gave to much advice I'd probably get hunted down and shot
You never know. Giving you leeway to write is a smartest thing the owner could do. Keep up the good writes.

i think you should continue submitting.
Use as a door to your guiding.
Close it now and ya lose that niche to meet folks and potential customers.
Fine write the 800 wrds then chop it.
I used to do more direct reports for hunting and fishing news.
Absolute 180 degress from what i liked to do for writing.
But.. i cashed their checks and still went to bed at night..
think about big picture..

I sent one in last night and he liked it. You'll have to get the next issue of Heartland Outdoors. It's proprietary info.
He even gave me a 950 word limit for July. He knew going into it that I would have a tough time keeping it to 800 words.
So I talk a lot, what ya gonna do.

ask Jeff is he remembers some jerk 2 weeks ago at Rend lake waking him up at midnite to play poker.
If he does-apologize for me.
If not, say what kinda jerk would do that!
