Only you. I'm not telling anyone. They'll either realize it's back up and running or they won't.

Done Dan.
My local Patch wants nothing to do with me. 7 of 8 Yorkville aldermen recently turned down $1.7 million from the DNR to fix a bridge, which is attached to a useless 175 year old dam. The dam has to go to for the money.
I publicly called the 7 out of 8, idiots. The reasoning was very sound, I thought.
They love me here.

Yea, bonehead move by the city to let that money go. I doubt they even consulted anyone with any real hydrological background.
What was their reasoning for turning down the dam removal money again?

Pretty much the same dumb logic on the big dam. Local sentiment shows residents are against dam removals. They have all the info, they don't care. Hence, idiots.
BUT, this weeks paper says the water reclamation district might be signing off on the project. Basically, taking responsibility. They own both sides of the creek where the dam is. They want the thing gone because the IDNR does and figure it's just a matter of time. Why not do it now while the whole area is getting rebuilt they figure.
Might write up the process over the weekend.

Hola people!
I concur - passing up on that deal was the dumbest thing I have heard in quite some time
