Re: 12-29

I'm fishing the Cahaba. Beautiful water. Those are spots. I've been impressed with their fight so far. Makes me miss smallies a little less. (A little.) Appreciate the sections. I'll post some stuff. Just like to post up where folks know me. southernriverfishing.com is OK. Most of the other sites ...

Didn't see your new kayak section Ken. I'll post over there next time.

Re: 12-29

Did you get your Christmas fish Norm? Down South I continue to explore. The Cahaba and the Fox is a stark contrast. You've almost got to have a kayak to reach the best water. Or be willing to take an extremely long hike in a canyon-esque setting. It's too hairy for me to hike. I'll post up some pics ...

If anyone has any feathers to donate, let me know. I'm uh.... a reluctant fly fisherman now.

Yeah, pretty gay.

Sorry to hear about your wife. No reason to try and get everything started quickly.

Give it some time to marinate. Get the writing right.

Re: Anyone here ever hear of this river?

I can take the editor reins. I figured that might be Ken's bag. Was kinda hoping. ;)

Either way, I'd like to have mine edited by Ken.

Re: Anyone here ever hear of this river?

Well let's do it. Put big Xeroxed pic of a guy eating a walleye on the first page of the first issue. Make a limited run of 1000 and charge five bucks. I've got access to subscriber tech. Let 'em sign up and we'll mail 'em. My kids will run the photocopier. We can decide either to split the five ...

Re: Anyone here ever hear of this river?

Well, keep it burning. I'm not aware of a decent gear chucker mag that's worth a damn. What would be easier to do is to put together an anthology of short stories and do the print on demand thing. Or, hell, look for a publisher. My opinion of the publishing world going down in flames, seemingly, is ...

Re: Anyone here ever hear of this river?

Hm. I read Heartland every now and then. Not very often. I thought about getting in touch but they won't publish what I'd want to write. I'd like to read a mag that was less newsy and more experiential. Seems like a national mag like that might be a go. Round up all the good local writers to pitch ...
