If I lived anywhere near it, I wouldn't bother fishing anywhere else.

DuPage River and its Tributaries
East and West Branches plus the main stem, not much to look at sometimes, but an astonishing fishery.

DesPlaines River and its Tributaries
Some like it, some don't. If you're fishing its major tributary, Salt Creek, leave those posts here.

Chicago River
I fished the North and South Branches and did well. I just don't get back there anymore.

Beyond Northeastern Illinois
Mazon, Vermillion, Illinois, Rock, Galena, Apple, Kish, Mississippi and everything that flows into them. If any one gets more posts than the others, I'll give it it's own forum.
