There really is just too much water to fish.

- According to my co-worker, there is enough room for a good group of cars to park along Doral Street there on the side of the road. He said the good fishing he has noticed is upstream near the bend, and a bit downstream where the stream deepens and widens.

On the way back from the Tinley show I stopped on the bridge at Minooka Road, up stream from there. Classic smallie looking water at that spot, but I wonder how short lived that is. I think the Aux Sable might be a creek full of pockets that concentrate fish. You can see lily pad fields in it from Minooka down when you zoom in on the aerial maps. That tells me more water like I found at Route 52.
It's been mentioned before that it looks better around the I&M canal.
Only one way to find out.

Yes, I broke down and went. My accountant lives a few blocks from there and I had to drop off my tax info. I don't like dropping that in the mail.
Glad I went. Sat in on Marc Miller. It was nice to be remembered. Once upon a time I was pretty heavily involved with river issues, remember? Marc was one of my contacts.
He's good. Best PR the IDNR could have got. Was joking with him afterward that now we all have to vote for Quinn just to keep him around.
Like I'm ever going to vote for a Republican anyway. I have no money, so therefore, they don't care about people like me.
