Great...I'm unwelcome on one site because my fish consistently exceed the maximum size requirements of the resident guru
Now you're telling me I won't fit in here for "fishing in the rain"
Good morning...despite waking up late.=)

Nice fish Darth, were you fishing the usual area?
Rain doesnt scare me, if it was lightning thats another story. Anyways rain in this heat would be a good thing

You know, every time I've gone out for the last six or more weeks I've had a hit that tells me I've hooked a fish like the one your holding.
And every time the jig has come back empty.
I actually pick up the jig and stick the hook in my thumb to make sure it's sharp.
It is. I just suck lately.
You can be our resident guru any day.

Matt actually I found her just 20 maybe 30 yards North of the "usual" spots...right before the current splits and narrows and quickens...in the deep slow moving water.
Get yo butt over here and I'll show ya=)
Ken honestly I've been having a lot of the same...quick short strikes. Hitting it like they are mad but not hungry maybe?
Might be a good topic of discussion as in talking to a few guys seems it's been going around.
Just got lucky this morning 0=)

I took a recent tip from Ed, that would be CLF Ed, that I forgot about.
I was getting short hits, so I switched to a smaller jig and a 1.5 inch twister and my hooking ratio went up.
Except for the big ones.
Not enough bite on the hook.
So I tested this out again today. Left the bigger jig on with a 3 inch twister and got a lot of tail pulls. Did get to hook a half dozen small ones though. Took too long to do that. My missed big hit of the day was just a day dreaming issue.
Years ago Jamie Riani from Cusomfish called it the M&M theory.
If you just ate a steak and passed by a table full of steaks you wouldn't even look at them. But a bowl of M&M's . . .
Can't decide if I want to go hit a creek later or wait till morning or both.
Tired and having an issue with the heat. Maybe a nap instead this afternoon.

Don't know if this applies to anyone else, but Tim, you going to be around sometime middle of this next week?
I might be fishing the river over in your area and then making a wade/hike deep into the woods at Ferson Creek afterwards.
I still suck at fishing your stretch but know where to go and what to do further south over at Duerr F.P. (the former Blackhawk) at the bike bridge.

I've only done Blackhawk a couple times... once when it was ridiculous style low water and once when it was running about a foot and a half under the bridges
North of there can be some tough fishing but I'm learning=)
As soon as I know my schedule for sure I'll post up or pm ya.
Oh yeah BTW I was checking out your site in your signature...looks really good! Nice work!

You finally figured that out? Bunch of damn kids.
I think they keep me around to make fun of me.
