Re: Locations
Ken, Don't mean to be nitpicky, but area 7 is about a mile downstream of Warner Bridge. Ed79, you can park at any of the hunting areas and walk the river. i believe it's about 5 river miles from area 2 at the east end of the park down to area 7 west of Warner Bridge. There are times i've parked ...

That's hilarious Norm. Several years ago while fishing the Kank down near the I -55 bridge, saw a fella fishin' roaches hook a Queen snake. Scared the ba-jebas out of him as he mis- took it for a cotton mouth. Had a hard time convincing him that they aren't native to this area and the snake he ...

Hey all,
Haven't been here in quite a while(been lucky enough to be working until now). Thought i recieved an email a while back saying this was basically becoming a read only site. Did i misunderstand?? Glad to still see signs of life here. Hope all are well and in good spirits.

Ken,
That was absolutely hilarious !! Liked your points about fly fishing trout guys and their perceived snobbery as well. Yea, us bass chasers truly are neandrathals. Thanks again. This made my day.

Ken, Will pray that you get that job offer. Driftless area is some really beautiful country. And i think brook trout are just gorgeous looking fish. I can sympathize with you and everyone else here on the economic disaster. I'm in the construction industry and in my late 50's. A double whammy for ...

5 / 31 Mazon River
Finally made out to the Mazon River this morning. Thanks to Pezdek1 & Ken G. i know i was on the exact same water you guys have been on based on your photos. Caught about 8 smallies in the dink range(12" and under) on tubes(black with blue flake), white double willow blade spinner bait, and craw ...

Re: Northern Wisconsin May 16 thru 22nd - report
Great report Andrew!! Those smallies are just incredible. In my limited experiance fishing northern Wisc., the smallies up there just seem to be a little more "broader backed" and a bit stronger than the fish i catch here in Ill. Keep up the good work and good fishing to you my friend. C. P. R. Bob ...

Mazon River Access?
Greetings, These posts on the Mazon really intrigue me. Great shots Ken. Was wondering if anyone could give me a couple of ideas as to where to park. I was over there(tried to park on Pine Bluff Rd.) once several years ago and encountered numerous signs about no parking and getting towed. If anyone ...

Re: If I was rich.......
Ken, Pretty dire stuff. While i agree with alot of what you say, i hope for all of our sakes that you are off a bit. Personally, i still have a house to sell. i'm sure many others here will at some point as well. While i don't think it would be good to return to the inflated house prices we saw(or ...

Re: If I was rich.......
Greetings, I'm pretty familiar with that area. Fish that stretch of Jackson every spring. It's OK, but not the best stretch of that stream by a long shot. Ken, as for turning it into a camp ground, doubt very much that surrounding property owners would go along with that. Main access is at the back ...
