Northern Wisconsin May 16 thru 22nd - report

That's what this one is about. If you're planning on fishing and want company, put that here. If the fish talk you have to say doesn't fit anywhere else, that can go here too.

Northern Wisconsin May 16 thru 22nd - report

Post by AndrewR »

This post is for Bob and the others who are interested in reading what I have about my experiences of fishing the northwoods. I'm banned from Chitown (like I care), so you may either read my stuff here or at my site if registered and logged in.

I have each day of fishing archived in my blog, so click the link below where you will be taken to a caption and summary from each day. And if you are inclined to do so, you may read each day individually by clicking the links within in the link below.

Thanks.

Since I will be traveling back and forth from now until the end of June, I am making an effort to send Bob Maciulis of the Outdoor Notebook some of my "story-telling" writeups about my full-week fishing experiences. Not like reports as I usually do them where I get in-depth with full of detail and scientific, but I'm gonna make it entertaining and all about fish catching and the things we see and encounter. I'm hoping to have something done for him by the end of next week. YEA! :D

Very cool.

The more entertaining you can make the stories for Bob the better. Anyone can write nuts and bolts of fishing articles. They get boring. Leave as much of that crap out as possible. If I want to take a nap while reading, I'll read Babe Winkleman's stuff.

Has he published anything of yours yet? I don't get it every month and I didn't see anything of yours in the May edition.

Great report, beautiful smallies!

Hows the water levels in Vilas county? I'll be up on the Manitowish chain soon and was wondering. I read recently that they are still experiencing a drought.

Thanks.

Levels are low anywhere. Was by the Mani Chain a few times last week and since it's fed by a river system it's still in great shape.

I'm thinking about spending a day out there at the end of June. Do a Musky/Smallie combo day.

Ken, I would be making my debut. You were on me last year for doing this and never got to it. I'm making the effort right now.

You can always tell him I told you to get in touch. That used to have meaning, don't know anymore. Haven't had the opportunity to talk to him in awhile.

keep at it!
You have nothing to lose by sending out query letters for a story!

Supply pics and make it an easy read!

But try to send it in early when you agree to produce!

i bugged you also!
Many still accept submissions and pay..

Great report Andrew!! Those smallies are just incredible. In my limited experiance fishing northern Wisc., the smallies up there just seem to be a little more "broader backed" and a bit stronger than the fish i catch here in Ill.

Keep up the good work and good fishing to you my friend.
